Designcontest-SnowCentre The UK’s premiere snowsports centre, The Snow Centre, based in Hemel Hempstead, and HEAD Snowboards have teamed up to launch a competition for designers to create the most outrageous snowboard design yet. The winner will see their creation transformed into a one of a kind HEAD Transit snowboard along with a pocketful of freestyle passes or lessons to put it through its paces on the best snow this side of the Alps.

Entrants are encouraged to showcase originality as well as design proficiency, laying down the most kaleidoscopic range of colours, shapes and text they can dream up. Judging the competition will be The Snow Centre’s director of snowsports Pete Gillespie, The Snow Centre’s park shapers and diggers with attitude, The DWA, and the design possy at the fiendishly hip free publication, Don’t Panic.

Pete Gillespie, Director of snow sports at The Snow Centre, added “The Snow Centre has the fastest growing freestyle night – Park and Ride – in the UK with some amazing features to max out on each week. We’re really excited to see what other worldly creations the design community can come up with to create the deadliest of boards going. Snowboarding has always had a close relationship with design and we’re hoping this comp unearths the best Britain has to offer.

[german] sportliche plaene.

ich denke seit eingen tagen darueber nach, wie ich meine leistung im klettern und auch snowboarden verbessern kann.
da gibt es viiiel zu tun ..

was das klettern angeht bin ich nur aus gewissen gruenden etwas unmotiviert .. wenn man sich nicht so erwuenscht vorkommt etc
naja. mal schauen. moeglichkeiten mich da zu verbessern habe ich so oder so. es gibt ja noch andere ;)

was auch immer kommt, mein plan ist es ab donnerstag, wenn ich wieder in deutschland bin, so gut wie jeden tag klettern und/oder bouldern zu gehen.
wofuer hab ich schliesslich das abo ;) und egal was ich davon mache … training ist training.

habe die letzten tage – in meinem entzugswarn (jaahaa 1 1/2 wochen ohne klettern ist schrecklich ;) und einmal 4 std bouldern in fontainebleau haut das nicht ganz raus .. auch wenns einfach <3 dort ist (:) - einen haufen videos und seiten geschaut bzw gelesen.

videos eher einfach soo .. schon um zu sehen, wie man was loesen kann und was technik betrifft .. aber ich hab mich eher damit beschaeftigt, wie ich mich mental weiter entwickeln kann, da ich manchmal mit meinem kopf doch woanders bin und dies eigentlich derzeit mein groesstes problem bei der ganzen sache ist … aber das liegt derzeit wohl auch eher viiiel an privaten umstaenden und auch das gefuehl, des nicht so erwuenscht seins, haengt da ein bisschen mit drin. wenn man das gefuehl hat, dass der andere gelangweilt ist waehrend man sich da hoch kaempft und nur mit anderen dingen beschaeftigt ist, nimmt einem etwas die motivation und lust :(

ausserdem werde ich mal meine kontakte zur snowboardhalle auffrischen :) da steht immerhin noch ein kostenloser tag aus ;)
ich denke, dass es ein guter ausgleich zum klettern ist .. mal nicht die arme zu benutzen ;)

wenn man auf seiten stoebert, findet man manchmal kuriose dinge …

wie diese anleitung, wenn man draussen unterwegs ist und mal “gross” muss … natuerlich veranschaulicht mit bildern ;)

dieses gibt es auch fuer leute, die grade im fels haengen und nicht wissen, wohin …

und ganz wichtig ist diese fuer die, die auch beim klettern nicht die finger voneinander lassen koennen ;)

Linn Olofsdotter

She was born in Sweden, worked in Brazil and is now settled in the Portland area. The prolific illustrator and mixed-media artist Linn Olosfsdotter is a global citizen of the most interesting kind. Her own life indifferent locales gives her many sources of inspiration and most likely helps her flex her illustration muscle to meet the needs of a vast variety of clients.

hey

tomorrow morning i will go by train to france. for 2 weeks.
im a bit afraid about private stuff but also excited cuz i never was in france before and wanna see a lot of things :) maybe i’ll never get the second chance to go there or have no time to do it or whatever ..
sooooo .. i grab it ;D
i’ll try to post every day what i’ve done (maybe with pics).

also i wanna seize an idea of my bf… enclosed you will find at the end of every post a musictip (mostly in form from videos ;D)
